10 October 2022, missile strikes on Ukraine
Propaganda resources working in the occupied territories of Luhansk oblast have paid a lot of attention to shelling of Ukrainian cities this week. In particular, many of them published materials, which multiplied fakes of top Russian resources and media persons of the aggressor country.
For example, ″State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of the LPR″ made several publications on its channel about hitting "high-precision weapons at energy, military management and communication facilities of Ukraine." In general, almost all local propaganda resources were covering this topic all day long.
"Famous Russian propagandists spread the fake that rockets hit the buildings of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Office of the President of Ukraine, as well as the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. In fact, the propagandists confused the dome of the Kyiv City Teacher's House with the dome of the Verkhovna Rada, which is located elsewhere. Russian terrorists are fighting against civilians and Ukrainian culture, so that on Volodymyrska Street in Kyiv Russian rockets damaged Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the Khanenko Museum and the National Museum of Taras Shevchenko, the playground in Shevchenko Park, and residential buildings in the center of the capital. All authorities work and keep in touch with the citizens of Ukraine.″
Propagandists spread the thesis that they had hit the target - the premises of state authorities, in order to intimidate Ukrainians by saying that they have made the state incapacitated", − colleagues from "Detector Media" wrote in detail about the wave of Russian fakes on October 10.
At the same time, some channels also used the thesis that Ukrainian air defense is allegedly unable to cope with Russian missile strikes, which is complete nonsense.
"No air defense system in the world can provide 100% protection, even the Israel "Iron Dome". However, the Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile systems can cope with the occupiers′ strikes. Thus, on the morning of October 10, Ukrainian Air Forces shot down 43 out of 83 missiles fired at Ukraine and at least 13 Iranian Shahed-136 drones per day," the analysts of VoxUkraine report.
The Russians have traditionally launched another stream of fakes regarding the situation at the front. However, such fakes appear almost every day.
Thus, on October 13, the Telegram channel "Sarafannoe radio Sievierodonetsk" wrote that the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly decided to leave Bakhmut:
"It seems that the Armed Forces of Ukraine has decided to leave Bakhmut. At night, there is a covert movement of personnel and equipment to the area near Kostiantynivka.
First of all, the national battalion ″Aidar″ and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are leaving the city. Territorial defense and mercenaries remain in the city," − the propagandists said.
The next day, another similar message appeared on the channel:
"It is reported that units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to leave Artemivsk (Bakhmut) at night. British intelligence confirms that Opytne and Ivangrad have been lost by Ukraine. The allies approached Artemivsk, "Wagner" units even entered the outskirts of the city a few days ago."
The occupiers themselves refuted this fake. The "Kepka Prygozhyna" channel reported:
"Indeed, "Wagner" established full control over Ivangrad two days ago. I want to emphasize that only "Wagner" units was in Ivangrad.
Opytne is still under enemy control. Heavy battles are taking place on its outskirts. That's why you shouldn't take wishful thinking for granted. If you often distort information, people will lose trust in the sources. I emphasize once again, Dosvidchene is under the enemy control," – the user writes.
At the moment, according to DeepState information, these settlements are in the gray zone.
At the same time, a member of the 2nd AK, "Colonel" Andrii Marochko, published a video on his channel in which, according to him, Russian military personnel are freely moving through Bakhmut, but in fact the original video was posted on TikTok by a Ukrainian military officer.
″The Armed Forces of Ukraine commit atrocities″
Azovets Maksym Zhorin published footage of another crime committed by Russians in Kupiansk, Kharkiv oblast. In a short video, two occupiers lead a civilian to execution. One of them has the tactical signs of Russian units on its legs - a wound red tape.
The occupiers′ resources distorted it and called "a massacre of Ukrainian Nazis." They said that the video was initially signed "Civilian population. There will be payback." However, after some time, azovets allegedly had to edit the post due to a "request from Kyiv".
The Russians claim that the metadata of the video makes it clear that it was filmed on October 9, an hour before publication, when Kupiansk had long been controlled by "Nazi units of Ukraine".
The propagandists spread the fake on the network as much as possible.
Members of the occupation administration also commented it. For example, ″State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of the LPR″ published on its channel the comments of the "human rights commissioner" of the "DPR" group Dariia Morozova.
Later, Maksym Zhorin published the second part of the video:
"For all the stupid Russian scumbags who spread their own crime on the Internet. Here is another part of yesterday's video. Look carefully at the executioners - it is clear to everyone that it was the Russian military who carried out this punishment of ordinary civilians in an occupied city. The investigative authorities have already received the full video. Russian soldiers will be identified,"− Zhorin commented.
The new video chronologically preceded the previously released one, in which the body of an already killed person is thrown by the occupiers into a pit with the bodies of other shot dead. Both videos were found in the Russian invader′s phone.
In the second case, the serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrii Chornyi published a photo against the background of a burning building and explained that there were invaders inside. Propagandist resources immediately wrote that the Ukrainians had killed civilians and compared it to the Khatyn tragedy.
The speaker of the so-called "people's militia of the LPR" Andrii Marochko published a post on his channel where he cites comments allegedly left by users from Ukraine. However, there are no such comments under the original publication. The propagandists claim that the fighter is posing in the photo with a flamethrower, although it is a rifle.
"How?!!!!! Well, really how? The Mosin-Nagan rifle of 1944 is known to the average person simply as "Mosinka" !sic! FLAMETHROWER!!!!!!!
FLAMETHROWER Karl.
Of course, not all civilians can know the rifle brand and modification. Well, everyone knew the very shape of the rifle from childhood.
″It's not a flamethrower guys. It's a checkered dragoon MG42 and a mare for voltezherovka that fascist Chornyi from the 95th Air Assault Brigade holds", - the military ironically commented the occupiers′ fake.
