Snowy Scenes of Survival: Spanish Photographer Documents a Day of Donetsk Evacuations
Photographer Ignacio Marin came from Spain to support Ukraine. The artist joined the evacuation mission of the "East SOS" Charity Foundation; on that day, the team was evacuating representatives of the less mobile population groups.
Despite the bad weather, another 6 people reached safety from Druzhkivka, Myrnohrad, Toretsk, and New-York. These localities suffer from constant shelling by the russian federation. On the way, the photographer calmed the rescued and assisted the evacuators.
Let's recall that since February 24, 2022, the team of the "East SOS" Charity Foundation, together with partners, has rescued over 80,000 residents of the frontline and de-occupied territories. The Foundation helps everyone to leave danger, including people with disabilities and representatives of less mobile population groups, families with children, and people with pets. It supports further resettlement in facilities with permanent care and medical supervision.
