Restoration of Lysychansk: things about Russian propagandists are lying ЕКСКЛЮЗИВ

Лисичанск

Lysychansk in Luhansk oblast is the last large city occupied by the Russians. That's why, the city suffered less damage compared to other cities of the oblast- Popasna, Rubizhne, Sievierodonetsk. It is easier to bring this city back to life because there is no so much desctruction. However, the occupiers always make promises about the restoration of Lysychansk, and almost every time their statements is turned to be a fake.

We will analyze the main fakes about improving life in Lysychansk in this material.

Restoration

Traditionally, we will start with "restorations", which the Russians love to show off on their resources. This time they reported that major repairs had been carried out at the Lysychansk Central City Multidisciplinary Hospital:

It is known that the hospital building was almost undamaged as a result of the battles for the city. The hospital was early repaired under the "Great Construction" program in 2021. That's why, the occupation administration decided to "restore" it.Then the part of the 1st floor of the surgical building of the communal non-commercial enterprise "Lysychansk Multidisciplinary Hospital" was reconstructed. 10 million hryvnias were allocated for this from the state budget and 2.97 million hryvnias - from the local budget.

The Russians decided to show the reconstruction of the premises as their own achievement in order to spend the minimum amount of money and create a spectacular picture for propaganda on television. However, the residents of Lysychansk, who lived directly in the city, hardly believe in the occupiers' story.

"Important" infrastructure

The so-called "mayor" of occupied Lysychansk, AndriiSkoryi, always talks about restoring socially important infrastructure in the city and creating jobs.

However, reality is different: the occupation administration focuses the attention of the population on their "history" and tries to manipulate such concepts as "traditions", "separate region", "Russian lands".Therefore, instead of establishing communications, repairing buildings and infrastructure, the Russians open monuments to Lenin and Voroshilov in Lysychansk.

Let's look at several examples of "improving life" in the occupied "cradle of Donbas" in a Russian manner.

As part of decommunization, in 2016 a monument to Lenin was dismantledin Lysychansk. In April 2023, the occupation administration decided to return the "leader of the proletariat".

"After all, we, the residents of Lysychansk, do not forget our history!" -  propaganda resources wrote.

In addition, in the comments under the publication, a discussion arose between Ukrainians and supporters of "Russian peace".Subsequently, comments against the Russian regime were deleted:

Moreover, instead of solving the water supply problems, they opened a monument to "Veterans and participants in hostilities."Alive and dead since 2014 for the right to be Russian."The occupation administration is sure that this will help the local residents to live better.

Having visited the opening of such an "important" facility, local residents went to collect technical water from the tanks, which were installed only on April 20(!) of this year. There is still no drinking water in the city.  And the "grand" opening of the tanks took place like this:

Local residents confirm the lack of water and electricity, and note that no restoration is taking place:

"Everything is the same as before: they say, nothing is being done.  Tired of hauling water. We no longer hope for water and light. In the area of the rubber technical products plant, there are tanks with technical water in some places... People are tired, but they are waiting for changes, that everything will be fine, that things will get better".

"How many years have you endured. And now you endure - you don't have electricity, there are problems with water, but it will pass... our people do not yet receive wages, but work,"  Skoryi said at the next opening of the Lenin monument in Novodruzhesk, which  is located near Lysychansk.

"Neo-Nazism Propaganda Headquarters”

Russian mass media released another story about the neo-Nazism propaganda headquarters in Lysychansk.ValentynaKhodus, a local activist, was accused of creating it. However, the journalists did not prove their accusations.Instead, they talked about a tank painted in blue and yellow colors in the city, showed Valentina's certificates for active social activities, and filmed textbooks from USAID.

The propaganda story says that USAID is an instrument of American foreign policy, a cover for the activities of the Central Intelligence Agency.

In fact, it is an independent agency of the US federal government. The Agency's main areas of work include support for trade, agriculture, economic growth, health care, emergency humanitarian aid, assistance in conflict prevention and support for democracy in more than 100 countries of the world.

ValentynaKhodus has an active pro-Ukrainian position - that's why  the Russians were angry.Valentina started her public activities in 2014 as a volunteer.

A year later, she created the organization "SkhidnaVarta".Since then she headed it.  The main area of activity was the support of children from the so-called gray zone of Luhansk oblast.  In addition, Valentyna is the head of the "Women's Territory" of Luhanshchyna.

"Polite treatment to the residents of Lysychansk"

Every video, published on the channels of the occupation administration of Lysychansk, shows  AndriiSkoryi is  as a leader who listens and understands the problems of the people. Also, the Gauleiter constantly emphasizes that he is just as simple a person who is very concerned about the difficulties of his compatriots.

However  in reality, this image of the "ideal mayor" was also created by propaganda resources, and the residents of Lysychansk  think about Skoroyi in a completely different way:

In a local chat, a  resident of Lysychansk asks: "Why does Skoryi, who is supposedly the mayor of Lysychansk, talk to people like cattle? According to the author of the post, people asked the mayor when the salaries would be paid, to which he replied "eat the humanitarian aid".

In addition, residents of Lysychansk are dissatisfied with reports about the possibility of AndriiSkoryi running for mayor of the city during the upcoming elections:

"There are rumors that Skoryi will run for mayor, the locals are categorically against it."

On our Telegram channel, we regularly publish fresh footage of occupied Lysychansk, which shows the real state of affairs:there is no electricity or water in the city, the ruins after the battles are still not being dismantled, people are surviving on humanitarian aid, and reconstruction is only talked about on TV.
