Drunkenness, anti-aircraft fire on residential buildings, shooting deserters: Russian fakes about the Ukrainian military

ЗСУ

Russian mass media are telling their readers and viewers fake news about the war in Ukraine and our military.

"Dry law" for the Ukrainian military is useless, isn't it?

Russian mass media spread news about Ukrainian soldiers in frontline cities. They allegedly refer to an article by the British publication "The Times"The headline says that the "dry law" in the front-line territories in Ukraine has been implementing for a year.Russian journalists report that not only alcoholic beverages were banned in stores, but also alcohol-containing tinctures disappeared from the shelves. For example, there is no hawthorn and scented bath lotions. However, as propagandist media say, local residents came to the rescue:

"However, despite such a strict approach, Zelenskyi's fighters still manage to find alcohol.Local residents actively help Ukrainian soldiers.  They quickly got their bearings, mastered the skills of moonshine brewing and started earning money from the Ukrainian military".

Russian news reports that Ukrainian soldiers allegedly drink alcohol to keep warm in the trenches, before combat operations, and simply when theу have free time. That is, they drink without stopping. Russians refer to statistics from the World Health Organization, according to which, in their opinion, Ukraine was in first place in terms of alcohol consumption a few years ago. However, But  they do not specify the year, because, apparently, they simply did not find such information:

"For winter warming - in cold trenches. For courage - before combat operations. And there is nothing to do when there is a lull at the front. One of the most drinking nations on the planet, which Ukraine was named by the WHO a few years ago, maintains its reputation despite everything".

For the year 2023, there are also statistics from the organization that deals with the population census and statistical data. Its website states that one Russian consumes 10 and a half liters of alcohol per year. In Ukraine, the indicators are slightly different — slightly more than 8 liters. So, have the Ukrainians actually overtaken the Russians in the ranking?

However, there is a "dry law" in Ukraine, especially in the front-line territories. This was repeatedly emphasized by the heads of local authorities. The head of the Donetsk military state administration Pavlo Kyrylenko once explained why the ban on alcohol was needed.

"There is an accumulation of people with weapons on the territory of the region and it is a constant stressful situation in which there are thousands of military personnel. In connection with this, there are terrible consequences - all of it has a huge negative result compared to how much effort we spend and will spend in order to prevent the sale of alcohol," Pavlo Kyrylenko said.

We will remind you in what condition the Russian soldiers were sent to the Ukrainian land.Western mass media reported on drunkenness in the Russian army. For example, the British tabloid Mirror simply writes in the headline that the Russian military is too drunk to effectively fight in Ukraine.

Journalists of the publication believe that this is the cause of great losses.  In addition, a considerable number of crimes by Russian soldiers are related to alcohol.

Ukraine sets up air defense systems on the roofs of high-rise buildings

Recently, more and more Russian mass media have been talking about the work of our Air Defense Forces. Many propagandist media quoted the lieutenant colonel of the people's militia of the so-called "LPR" Andrii Marochko. He once noted that, allegedly, due to the lack of funding of the Armed Forces, air defense posts are simply placed on the roofs of buildings in large cities.

The article says that, according to intelligence, such posts consist of 2-3 people who monitor the sky with the help of optical equipment and radio stations. And, in the event of a missile being detected, the posts of anti-aircraft complexes are notified.

In addition, the Russian media "analyzed" the work of our air defense and came to the conclusion that a large number of tragedies are precisely due to the poor performance of air defense, and not due to the full-scale invasion of Russia to Ukraine.

They also talked about the placement of complexes in residential areas.  The Ukrainian military is allegedly hiding behind the civilian population:

"Such an air defense arrangement leads to tragic consequences, in particular the death of the civilian population. The situation is aggravated by the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces use very old missiles.  And this is reflected in the flight trajectory.  Many are simply defective".

In addition, the so-called experts estimated that Ukraine has been using the systems since 70 years ago and called them ineffective and dangerous for the population.

In turn, the Ukrainian military, who work on air defense systems, are called unqualified and interested in creating tragedies.

But instead, Ukrainian air defense systems intercept enemy missiles with a probability of more than 90 percent.  Forbes Ukraine writes about it.

Ukraine continues to receive aid from the West, in particular, air defense systems. We received a new IRIS-T from Germany in autumn. This was reported by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksii Reznikov.

Very soon, Ukraine will receive another batch of weapons from the USA, including air defense.  America announced the next, 39th aid package for Ukraine.

The Armed Forces  of Ukraine shot mobilized soldiers for desertion

"The Ukrainian military shot ten deserters near Chasiv Yar," a former lieutenant colonel of the people's militia of the so-called "LPR" said:

"Near Chasiv Yar, a case of shooting of a detachment of one of the divisions of the armed formations of Ukraine for arbitrarily leaving positions near the city of Artemovsk was recorded".

Russian propagandists have published a similar fake before.  For example, at the end of last year, the president of the aggressor country spoke about this:

"Regarding the abandonment of positions: in Ukraine, you know, they shoot on the spot, and they even carry out mass shootings, directly in public, in front of the formation".

Russian news portals also reported that the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine issued an order to shoot deserters on the spot.

Previously, social networks circulated a fake photo of a document allegedly issued by the SSU.  It refers to the order to the personnel of the Security Service of Ukraine to check the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the permission to shoot deserters who refuse to go to the front.

The SSU quickly denied this information: the fake document did not comply with the basic rules of registration.

In addition, if there are such violators, then they serve their punishment according to the current legislation - according to Article 408 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, deserters face up to 12 years in prison.
