In January 2024, humanitarian corridors for Ukrainians who want to return from the occupied territories to the Motherland are working. We are writing about the checkpoint through Sumy oblast - "Kolotylivka - Pokrovka" and through the Republic of Belarus - "Mokrany - Domanove".However, the occupying "authorities" are trying in every possible way to prevent people from going to the territories controlled by Ukraine, spreading false information.
The coordinator of the public organization "Donbas SOS" Violeta Artemchuk told TRYBUN in more detail about it.
According to her, in the occupied territories, the pseudo-government spreads information that when men cross the humanitarian corridors, they are immediately issued summonses to military commissariats and sent to serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Is it true that men who leave the occupied territories through the humanitarian corridors "Kolotylivka - Pokrovka" and "Mokrany - Domanove" immediately upon crossing are served with summonses to the Military Commissariat and sent to serve in the Armed Forces?" - lawyers of Donbas SOS often reveice with such and similar questions.
Ms. Artemchuk assures that this information is not true. It is distributed in the occupied territories and during "filtration" on the Russian border.
This is a fake. Such information is provided during the so-called "filtering" when leaving the occupied territories. The purpose of the fake is clear – to prevent departure from the occupation and return to the controlled territory of Ukraine.
According to the coordinator of the Donbas SOS, the process of involvement in the ranks of the Armed Forces has its own characteristics and stages.
Violeta Artemchuk told how to return to controlled territory through Sumy oblast.
"At the control, people show Ukrainian available documents. These can be birth certificates (for young people who did not have time to get a passport), expired passports, international passports, driver's licenses, photocopies of lost documents (preferably with a photo card)," she said.
Also, when traveling to the controlled territory at the border post, citizens have an interview with the employees of the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.
Ukrainian border guards do not seize documents, as the occupiers claim. There are no relevant orders. Moreover, the State Border Service receives regular clarifications regarding actions with documents.
Another humanitarian corridor is "Mokrany - Domanove". In order to leave via the route through Russia and Belarus, you must have Russian documents: domestic and international passports, because when crossing the "Russian Federation - Belarus" border, Russian border guards may not let out citizens who have only received an internal Russian passport and not a foreign one.
In order to cross the border and enter the territory under the control of Ukraine, people must also show their Ukrainian documents. It can also be birth certificates (for young people who did not have time to get a passport), expired passports, foreign passports, driver's licenses, photocopies of lost documents (preferably with a photo card).
When traveling to the controlled territory at the border point, citizens also undergo an interview with the employees of the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.
"Currently, the checkpoints "Kolotylivka-Pokrovka" and "Mokrany-Domanove" work daily and they are ready to meet citizens returning to the controlled territory of Ukraine. After passing the corridor through Sumy oblast, citizens are provided with support in the form of a free train ride to Kyiv, comprehensive support from representatives of organizations involved in the work of this checkpoint," Violeta Artemchuk emphasized.
